In June 2025, we led an in-person survey and group session with underserved students to understand how relocation affects children emotionally and psychologically – with a particular focus on migrant children in Delhi. The goal was to capture what these young people experience as they navigate new schools and communities, and to assess how such transitions shape their well-being. Our findings were compiled into a report and presented to local policymakers and educational institutions, making the case for tailored support like trauma-informed education and stable social networks.
During the same visit, we put together 50 essential packs to support students' day-to-day needs — including stationery and housing materials such as bedsheets — and distributed them among the participants.
